Dennis Miller Homes

This may be a bit of an unusual review for a home builder, but I’m writing this in regards to my experience in working with Dennis Miller Homes in order to do something pretty special not just for one home owner in St George, but for everyone that lives in or visits our area. My name is Supe Lillywhite and I’m the manager of a local outdoor gear store called The Desert Rat. Over the past couple of years our store has gotten heavily involved with trying to protect open space and recreational land in Southern Utah. This has included attending City Council meetings, working with County Commissioners, and allying with local recreation groups all in an effort to protect beloved outdoor recreation areas close to town that are at risk of being developed as St George continues to grow so quickly. We were very pleasantly surprised when Jared Miller from Dennis Miller Homes approached us and asked how he could help with our efforts. As builders with an excellent reputation and significant involvement in the Southern Utah Homebuilders Association we were delighted to have them onboard. Since then Jared has joined the Open Space and Recreation Preservation Committee we’ve formed, attends monthly meetings, and has helped us better understand how we can encourage developers to pay attention to local open space and recreation areas when they are planning a new project. Preserving as many open space and recreation areas is great for everyone. It adds value to people moving into a new area and preserves beloved spots for longtime residents and visitors. We very much look forward to continuing to work with Dennis Miller Homes and all other willing developers in Southern Utah area. We hope that as city and county officials see developers like Dennis Miller Homes voluntarily go out of their way to preserve recreational areas that the cities and county will make further efforts to protect these areas as well. We had the opportunity to work with the Dennis Miller Team designing a new home. Jared listened to our feedback as we went through the design process and was able to turn our ideas into a set of plans that fit the needs of our family perfectly. we ended up with a plan that is extremely functional. feeling luxurious and spacious while also being effecient with the space.
