Short answer
No. A TrailBlaze Utah listing doesn't hurt your search rankings, and you can remove it any time.
How we link to your website
Every link from a TrailBlaze listing to a business's website is marked nofollow, the same way most large business directories do it. That tells Google not to treat the link as a ranking signal, good or bad. Customers can still click through to your site. Google just doesn't count the link either way.
This is the same for every business, claimed or not, free or paid. No plan buys a link that counts for rankings, and no plan changes where you show up in our lists.
Why an SEO tool might flag us
Some SEO tools give websites a "toxic" or "spam" score. Part of that score comes from the other sites that link to the website being scored. Like many new sites, ours has picked up links from automated link farms. We've reported those to Google with a disavow file, which is Google's own tool for this, but third-party SEO tools don't read disavow files. So a tool can flag us even though Google has been told to ignore those links.
Because our links to you are nofollow, none of that reaches your site.
What a listing does do for you
- Shows your real details (name, address, phone, hours) in one more place customers look. Details that match your Google Business Profile help customers and search engines agree on who you are.
- Shows your real Google rating and review count. We never write fake reviews or invent facts about a business.
- Sends customers to you by phone, directions or your website, and never to a competitor.
- Ranks you on merit. Our lists are ordered by public data like Google ratings, never by who pays. See how our scores work.
Your options
- Fix your details for free. Claim your listing to correct anything, add photos and choose what shows.
- Ask us to remove it. Use "Remove this listing" at the bottom of your listing page, or contact us. We handle removals the same business day and won't re-add your business unless you ask.
