The Eating Establishment has been serving Park City since 1972, and it has the welcoming feel of a classic neighborhood diner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light, and the portions are generous and hearty. Ren was our server, and she was excellent: friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the menu. I really enjoyed the French toast with fresh berries, although it was milder than I expected since they use an egg dip without cinnamon. The pancakes, eggs, and bacon were all well prepared and satisfying. If you’re looking for a comforting breakfast in a relaxed setting with great service, this is definitely worth a visit.
My dad and I were lucky to have gotten 2 seats at the bar when we walked in with no reservation at 6pm on Saturday. I would highly recommend making a reservation! It is a pretty small place- and very popular. They serve breakfast all day, as well as normal lunch/dinner options. This is a great place to appeal to all kinds of eaters. The bartender who was our waitress was not very attentive and ended up messing up both our orders but she was extremely busy all by herself. My dad and I both went for breakfast entrees and loved them both. It is pretty reasonably priced for a Main Street restaurant. BFD definitely hits after a long day on the slopes. I would definitely come back here (with a reservation).
