Logan is the seat of Cache County, sitting at the foot of the nearly 10,000-foot Bear River Range in northern Utah's Cache Valley. Mormon pioneers first settled the area in the spring of 1859, and the city was incorporated in 1866 with Alvin Crockett as its first mayor.
